The IIA's CIA Learning System self-directed program is ideal for internal auditing professionals who:

The IIA's CIA Learning System is a comprehensive CIA review and professional development program. It combines printed materials and interactive online learning tools to deliver a customized CIA study experience. In July 2010, The IIA expanded the content to provide more in-depth review, updated topics to align with international professional practices, and launched a French version of the program.

The IIA's CIA Learning System includes printed materials that correspond to the four parts of the CIA exam and provide the framework for your successful CIA exam preparation. This extensive content is organized by sections so you can tailor your studies to areas that require additional study.

Interactive Online Review, Testing, and Resources

To solidify the CIA knowledge covered in the printed materials, you will have easy access to a variety of interactive online learning tools. These Web-based CIA testing tools are designed to help you apply the internal audit topics that you’ve studied in the modules and test your retention.

  • Pre-test offered at the beginning of each module will gauge your initial level of knowledge and help set a study plan focused on topics that require the most improvement.
  • Section-specific quizzes will test your comprehension and retention with quick and extended quizzes. Each answer includes a rationale to provide you with a more in-depth understanding of the topic.
  • Post-tests offered at the end of each module will gauge the internal audit knowledge you’ve gained and areas that require further study prior to the CIA exam.
